And this is what I’m doing on this Saturday, March 25th 2017.
I have been wondering at how more has become less. Does that make sense? I watched this amazing documentary on Minimalism, and I felt a sort of kinship with these guys. Here’s the trailer:
And it is true what they say in the movie. We do indeed spend way too much time and effort on material goods to make us happy. So to that end I have been pairing down things in my own life. I gave away about 200 DVDs, books and more recently. I’m not saying that I will give up material things, mind you. What I am going to do is focus on material things which add to my life as opposed to things that don’t. The movie was a good lesson, and reminder, of what matters to me.
I coined a new word: Distrumption. Can be defined as the effect of Trump Tweets, and the populace focusing their attention on them.https://t.co/o5kVCsBsBx Very interesting. I can now block out the noise from the outside world and be free of distrumptions.“When you’re dealing with a portrait, I think you have to allow their personality to fill the space.” - Platon
